Compliance is one of Income Solutions’ top priorities and is linked to our day to day practices. As practice manager, I regularly perform spot checks on client files to ensure the financial planners within the office are following the regulations; further to these spot checks the entire office is externally audited for compliance on an annual basis.
Our advisers are authorized representatives of GWM Adviser Services Limited traded as Garvan Financial Planning, who are Income Solutions’ Australian Financial Services Licensee. Garvan is responsible for the financial advice and services our advisers provide. Having this license also provides our advisers with access to specialist research and technical resources, which means clients benefit from the latest research, opportunities and legislative changes, as well as comprehensive financial advice strategies. Garvan Financial Planning is a principal member of the Financial Planning Association, the professional body representing qualified financial planners in Australia, and therefore adhere to set standards in terms of ethics, conduct, and continuing professional development.
On top of this, all of our planners have, or are currently studying to obtain their CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® credentials. Currently in Australia, it is relatively easy to become a qualified financial planner, but only those who fulfill initial and ongoing certification requirements can use the CFP Marks. Rigorous requirements for the award of certification have meant the CFP Mark has quickly become the highest standard in financial planning worldwide We at Income Solutions are very proud to say that our advice team already have, or on their way of having their CFP credentials.
